Reader’s Cup

Congratulations to the six Year 6 students who made the final selection for the 2014 Reader’s Cup Challenge. All Year 6 and 7 classes were invited to participate in the team selection process. I am so happy that all six students are from 6T. The team has had a number of novels to read in a very short amount of time. They are all avid readers and we all wish them well on their first inter-school challenge at a local level. From there a team will go onto the regional challenge.  Congratulations once again guys, you rock.

QuadBlogging

 What is QuadBlogging™?

We are excited to become involved in QuadBlogging™ which  is a way of gaining an audience for our blog. Over the last 12 months 100,000 students have been involved in QuadBlogging™ from 3000 classes in 40 countries. We have been assigned to a ‘quad’ of schools from Australia and England. On set weeks, each school’s blog becomes the focus of the other three schools for comments for a week. Then a different school becomes the focus and so on until all four schools have had a turn. This will give students an opportunity to learn a little about other students, overseas or interstate, and they can learn about us.

Our focus week will be the week beginning June 9 so our fellow quad schools will be visiting, looking and commenting on our posts.
