Students in Year 5/6T have been reading Henry Lawson’s short story “The Loaded Dog“. This truely Australian author certainly knows how to entertain a reader. While we have been reading many short stories by currently popular authors, Henry Lawson’s entertaining story of Dave, Andy, Jim and their dog Tommy had my class laughing, crying, breathless in suspense and totally delighted.
